Maurice Strong--Paul Martin's dangerous friend

If it is legitimate to tie Stephen Harper to George Bush's political philosophy, then it is legitimate to tie Martin to Strong's. Those who follow the arcane pronouncements of the United Nation's poster boy will be shocked to learn of this close connection. For Maurice Strong's ideas are truly frightening. This man has been a mentor and business partner of Paul Martin. That, to my mind, makes Paul far more frightening than Stephen Harper.

In a column (National Post, Fri, 13, FP19) Peter Foster exposes the dictatorial nature of Maurice Strong. Instead of just a talk shop to keep an army of delgates, agents and NGOs employed, Strong wants the United Nations to be the main player in global politics. Preferably with himself in charge. Foster mentions the various scandals which have attached themselves to the man. Specifically, the "oil-for-food" program, where the UN totally bungled the operation, while some members enriched themselves. It is bad enough that Strong was one of the architects of this plan, but also, he has been implicated in accepting a million dollars from Tongsun Park, who was arrested in Mexico City--on a flight that originated in Canada.

Just to add a touch of conspiracy here, Park was not arrested on an INTERPOL warrant in Canada. Doesn't customs check these bulletins? Or is there a more sinister element involved?

Martin wants to ban guns; Strong wants the UN to have an independent army. Martin wants to keep the Canadian electorate hostage to his corrupt regime; Strong admitted that he wished he could keep all the worlds' leaders hostage--only until they came around to his way of thinking, of course. Oh yes, and it would be nice if a few billion of the world's population were wiped out. Nothing personal, just that the muskoxes need space. What this envirocrat envisions is a world dominated by a vast UN bureaucracy. To stop rampant pollution, capitalism must go. Socialism is the answer and Strong should be The Great Helmsman. The fact that most Third World socialist countries are corrupt and eternally broke does not faze him. That Mao, Stalin and Pol Pot killed more of their own citizens, to enforce their idea of a socialist paradise, than all the wars of the twentieth century does not faze Strong either. In fact, Strong is right at home in China, to which his frequent visits attest.

Foster also points out that Paul Martin is a cheerleader for the UN and its multilateral approach to problems. He states:

"That would be the same UN that is repeatedly exposed as corrupt and incompetent ... the corrupt agency which Martin's ultra-left-friend wants to have rule the world. With guns, in Canada."

Why, I do believe that this could be a tit-for tat attack ad for the Conservatives. Have Martin and Strong hugging each other, while the description of some of Strong's dictatorial and loony-left statements scroll down.

I wonder if Paul Martin's friend Maurice helped to facilitate deals with China like this one? I have heard from one who works for government that NB is about to see many more Chinese immigrants entering. Business & Agribusiness: Fujian & Canada, ACOA / AIF Grants & Academics FHTR, January 11, 2006

Will they be bringing their powdered mushrooms ... or whatever ... with them? Will they be coming by ship and docking in NS's deepest port? ... Perhaps to facilitate the goods they'll be importing? But it is possible that I am too ... cynical.

Character Assessment of Liberals ... too kind

Captain Ed Jan. 13, 06 -- Comment by Snowbunnie: LOOK OUT! They are the most dangerous when they operate where you CAN'T see them.

The Liberal government(s) have proven themselves to be underhanded, duplicitous, vengeful, stooping to any low to get their way ... any number of negatives.

A few examples: They will hound those who cross them through any number of departments and/or legal channels as they did with any of their own who crossed them and those who were not Liberals, as well.

I guess the Michael Gaffney campaign didn't like my blogging about them. In fact they seem downright upset. They are even threatening to sue me.

Don't even think of bringing up certain unmentionables -- unfairnesses in Canada -- topics deemed outside civilized discourse ... or some protected group might be unnerved, upset, lose, fear losing its--unfairly--protected special status ... Liberals couldn't let that happen in their Canada of voting blocks that must be placated. Open your mouth and "you'll never work in this town again" just about sums it up.

Harper: .... Does this Prime Minister clearly understand that the unity excuse for the theft of taxpayer dollars is completely unacceptable?

Right Hon. Paul Martin (Prime Minister, Lib.): ... attempts by the Leader of the Opposition to subvert the Gomery commission ... ... the protection of a certain minority right, that is to say the definition of civil marriage, was an attack on multiculturalism. That is an attack on the Charter of Rights. It is the worst example of the politics of division.

Fortunately, with the Liberals in office for most of the last hundred years, there is no division in Canada today ... is there? PM had not decided to get rid of the notwithstanding clause at that point.

Is the "old chap" for Bud? I'll pass your positive comments on. He is so knowledgeable and a delightful man to write for this blog. I'll urge him to write more, for he reads and remembers so much. Thanks on behalf of Bud.

Though, my views are not sweet and fuzzy, I am a woman! All errors are mine.

Today, I am in half-apoplectic mode as I listen to CBC politicking and telling people to vote NDP, when they're not pushing Pollie and the Parrots' wonderful platform and history of being compassionate and socially ... er, responsible? (when they're not stealing from A to sluice to friend B)

Pollie is in blowfish mode ... that Canadians can't live "hand to mouth" -- this from a guy whose foreign registered CSL shipping company received $161-MILLION Canadian taxpayer dollars. Some CBC idiot just asked him "Are you finding this difficult" about the fall in Quebec of the Liberals and the rise of the Conservatives, I think it is. (hard to keep mind, hearing, and writing going at the same time)

Incidentally, and besides, CBC is running scared.

I love it ... when I'm not furious! :)
