Bill Graham--"Statesman"

Ah, the soft power man was at his best when he proclaimed, "Canada condemns today's attacks, [on Rantisi] which can only impede progress towards a peaceful solution to the complex conflict in the Middle East." This is a statement right up there with Neville Chamberlain's "We will have peace in our time". But of course Hitler was not to be appeased with Chamberlain's acceptance of his invasion of Czechoslovakia, nor would leaving Rantisi in control have appeased Hamas and the other Palestinian terrorist organizations. Graham falls into the category that the old commies called their western apologists--a useful fool.
