Sept. 12, 2006: Film and Legacy

The link is for the first item only.

The Path to 9/11 and the Clinton Legacy

Caveat: I do not remember how I came upon this website but it was probably while searching for information related to the film, The Path to 9/11, which caught the atmosphere of the period before 9/11 and the horror of that day. Even the background music was appropriate. I would need to view it a second time to comment further partly because I was sleepy, partly because if I turned away or left the room for a minute, I missed the name of the key individual(s) featured at that moment. (Advertising breaks have their uses.)When and where will it be shown again?

This will be of interest to Americans, particularly, who would be better able to judge its usefulness. Still, it looks intriguing.

"[....] If Hezbollah is complaining, that must mean they're doing something right:

"The Shiite Hezbollah militia has expressed "reservations" about Germany's involvement in the multinational UN force deploying for Lebanon, owing to German demands that its troops be allowed to stop and search boats bound for the country."

[....] Of course, they'll probably wimp out, but it's nice to see that at least one of the nations participating in the "peace keeping" force in Lebanon is halfway serious about what they're doing.

My Dad just returned from visiting his girlfriend's family and friends in Germany. Everyone he spoke with about politics was unhappy with the Chancellor---she's a woman, I don't know her name. They complained that she was too pro-American.
So on that basis, I would guess your hunch that they'll wimp out will turn out to be correct.
I'm not familiar with their system, so I don't know how soon they'll have another election. I understand she was elected with a small margin.

That comment about wimping out came from RightWingNews by John Hawkins, if my memory serves.

As for this, "They complained that she was too pro-American.", I have a problem with the anti-Americanism everywhere. The US has helped so many. Think of the post-war period in Germany.

Also, George Bush is never given a break. The media are on his back all the time, negative comment after negative. I believe there is a concerted effort to defeat anything the US is involved in. That is a planned, concerted global network activity. I could make a guess as to which country is behind it, China, helped by every leftist who has any power, the UN which sees a potential rise in its power, other groups, foundations, agencies, those who simply want to make money in China, etc. Not all may realize to what they are contributing. They don't want to admit the defeat of their communistic ideals so ...

There are countries aligned with China for various reasons, countries which I should have mentioned.
