Updated: Gang Sting: 58 Arrests & 287 Charges -&- Links

Update 1: See below.

And an election is coming up -- we're fine in Canada -- more sensitive, caring, blah, blah, blah. Read this and it is only the tip of the criminal gang activity iceberg.

Gang sting nets 58 arrests -- Durham cops lay 287 charges Natalie Pona, Nov. 17, 05

Note that our Prime Minister apparently is going to run on his economic record; he wouldn't dare run on his government's track record, combined with the court system's laxity, on criminal gang crime with all its peripheral effects and businesses, mentioned so often on this website.

On Frost Hits the Rhubarb, Nov. 4, 05, I posted part of this submission, from the Introduction to clause 1.29. See the rest of that report, along with some other information: "Updated: CEUDA Report Part 2 (clauses 1.28 to 1.89) to Senate Committee on National Security and Defence"

Search for PAO (Police Association of Ontario) Report. Scroll down or use this link.

Hansard, ICAAN -&- Poof! Gremlins again, PAO aims to please

There is much more information but these are a start.

See also reports to the Parliamentary Committee on justice and security (I forget its formal name) and some information from whistleblowers (think ex-RCMP Staff Sgt. Stenhouse) and whistleblowing for an indication of what might be in the underbelly. Then look at information on what legislation the government is proposing for future whistleblowers . . . to shut them up really well.

Would you buy a used justice system and government from PM and Team?

Update 1:

Immigrant youth need to keep ethnicity: study Mike Oliveira, Toronto Sun, Nov. 16, 05

TORONTO (CP) - Countries hoping to integrate newcomers are better off embracing a Canadian-style cultural mosaic rather than a melting-pot style of immigration policy, suggests a new study on immigrant youth.

The study, based on more than 5,000 interviews conducted over 10 years, looked at 13 countries and the experiences of their young immigrants.

The ideal situation is for young immigrants to be proud of both their ethnic culture and new country, and to avoid ignoring either, said researcher Prof. John Berry of Queen's University in Kingston, Ont. [. . . . ]

There is nothing wrong with being proud of your heritage but the criminal gang activity which has now moved into encompassing several heritages is another kettle of fish. Every time I hear the victimology industry gang cry lack of sensitivity and racism, I think of the gangs.

Have Canadians been remiss in the understanding department -- in the maintain your culture--the one you came in with--multicultural area? Was it because those who brought down the Air India plane bombing so many Canadians into oblivion were misunderstood? Did they suffer racism? Couldn't get a job because of systemic . . . whatever? Or did they bring their hatreds with them?

Is the gang violence in the Toronto area related lack of sensitivity -- to Canadians' dissing some ethnic group or is their criminal gang activity an expression of pride in their ethnicity? Or is it related to the reality that individuals--even with few credentials--belonging to criminal drug / money laundering gangs make more money than they would with their qualifications in legitimate enterprise and that they make more than their fellows with similar qualifications? . . . Would it be the case that the successful criminal gang members make more $$$ than most ordinary Canadians--at least those at the lower end of the economic scale? So, therefore, crime pays.
