Why the interest?
Frost Hits the Rhubarb April 10 to April 15, 2005 has interested many. I've even had visitors from Asia -- five from Hong Kong. Today from Taipei / T'Ai-Pei. You might recognize the company name -- global and known widely, in fact -- owned or controlled by a billionaire businessman who came to Canada, who has has contributed to Canadian politicians and political life, with a large network . . . you may be able to guess the company name.
Anyway, I wondered what was so interesting so I took a trip down Memory Lane. These are most of the headings for that week:

A friend--yes, a friend--suggested I come off as vitriolic in my comments--perhaps because I care so much about Canada and the politics -- as practised. Later, he wrote to assure me that he did not consider me, in reality, vitriolic -- as a person -- bless him; he knows me. Thanks, J, for that vote of confidence.
I knew I was blunt -- but vitriolic? I am shocked, shocked, I say. Actually, Canada needs a little vitriol. A man would be described with words having positive connotations; a woman rates words like -- e.g. shrill, vitriolic, your basic b****. I try to tie what I write to factual material, reports, columnists, writers and bloggers whom I enjoy or who are sounding warning bells.
Perhaps I could enter for 2005: Vitriolic of the Year? Ah, what the heck. I'm going for the gold.
