Do we find out Jack Layton's price today?

Or will Jack do what is right and bring down a corrupt government -- Paul Martin and team who are quite willing to pay the bribery--$$$ or principles--to the NDP to remain in power?

Jack Layton's speech had been postponed. Now, he's supposed to be on CTV--perhaps on CBC also--shortly.

With the NDP, you have an unbroken line of blackmail throughout the ranks:

* Jack Layton blackmails PM into outlawing private health care, among other items

The message is "D*** it, if we have to wait 18 months to get a knee operation, then rich can do that too!"

* On the next level, Buzz Hargrove (Hargreaves?) of the UAW, Union of Automotive Workers blackmails Layton by threatening to withdraw all that $$$ funding, political and union support if Jack doesn't push for what they want.

Layton is caught between a rock and a hard place. His western supporters are balking at his appeasement of a corrupt regime and unions like the UAW that pay the campaign funds and give the expertise.

Maybe singing Jack should learn the words to "Cry me a river".
