We are all Israelis now -- How Ressam Entered Canada -- David Frum

I'll bet that heading shocked a few leftish blog readers. However, it is true. What the Israelis have had to endure for decades is now upon us. For years the left-wing press and television have demonized the Israelis. The London Guardian newspaper always made sure that the crazed suicide bombers, who targetted civilians in Israel were referred to as "militants" and "bombers"--never as plain old "terrorists". However, when the victims are innocent Londoners, it has no problem calling these fanatics, "terrorists" or "demented killers, who murder in the name of God." When you have the depth of depravity, such as the Palestinian woman who was being treated for severe burns in a Israeli hospital, and then was caught with a suicide belt, she is a "militant". That she was destined to blow up the children's ward of said hospital does not resonate as terrorism for the leftish press. Perhaps it is time for these media apologists to buy a new moral compass. It is almost the epitome of "no good deed goes unpunished", as probably no Palestinain hospital could have given her the equal treatment.

Around the time that the London bomber, Mohammed Khan, visited Israel for one day, the buddy whom he was visiting killed or wounded 58 Israelis in a suicide attack. Another British-Pakistani was later shot before he could carry out his "activist" mission. Also Richard Reid, the shoe bomber, had visited Hamas for ten days before his aborted mission. The Eygptian police are seeking five Pakistanis who checked into a hotel in Sharm al-Sheikh, but left, without even taking their luggage. Were they British subjects also?

According to Tom Gross, the former Jerusalem correspondent for The Telegraph, there have been 25,000 attacks on Israelis since September, 2000. Many were random shootings or stabbings that never made the international news. Thousands more have been thwarted. This includes what would have been a devastating slaughter planned in retaliation by Israeli terrorists. They had loaded a transport truck filled with enough explosives to blow away a Palestinian girls' school and an old age home next to it. Name me one attack--large or small--that the Palestinians have aborted. Bless Tony Blair, as he had the nerve to state that any attack on innocent Israelis was equal to an attack on his own nation. When Martin, Chirac, or Shroeder have the same courage to denounce these Palestinian abominations, I will have some admiration for them too. I'm not holding my breath.

Instead of cooperation with the Israelis, there is the misguided--nay gushing--desire to pump another $3 billion into the Palestinian coffers. How much of that will end up in the Hamas or al-Aqsa arsenals is anyone's guess. It takes pure ideological blindness to fund your enemies. As I have mentioned before, I see a lemming-like rush by the West to their own destruction. Neville Chamberlain writ large. Unfortunately, the Islamic fanatics are savvy enough to see this trend also and will act upon it swiftly. Divide and conquer is another axiom that applies here. Until the liberal media understand this, our populous will be fed a fuzzy message that will ultimately disarm them. If they cannot support a democratic state, but choose to applaud Islamic groups like Hamas, who want to create a Taliban state on Israel's ashes, then we might as well wave the white flag now.

© Bud Talkinghorn--P.S. Is it just me, or have you noticed a dearth of pronouncements from Canada's top officials on the lessons to be learned from London's bombings? This, while we are sending a sizable troop contingent to Kandahar, the heartland of the Taliban and al-Qaeda. And for the "The British Iraq policies caused the London attacks" crowd, who is causing the mass murder attacks against innocent Iraqis? Is it the British, or the same fanatic types who blew up the tube stations? The fact that the obvious answer eludes the Islamofascists and their leftish buddies drives me to distraction.

Ahmed Ressam: "Chapter 4: Sneaking In" -- This piece of scum has played Canadians and our immigration and refugee system for suckers -- your Canadian government at work -- There are several chapters and this link is just for Chapter 4 -- via Newsbeat1

[. . . . ] His passport displayed his photo, carefully cut to size and pasted in place of that of the document's original owner.
Would it fool Canadian officials?

[. . . . ] Is this a fake? he asked Ressam.

Yes, the young man admitted, it is.

Ressam was arrested and jailed. Deportation back to Algeria looked likely.

But not under Canadian immigration policy, perhaps the most liberal in the world.
Unlike France, Canadians [no, governments -- NJC] saw immigrants — especially those who spoke English or French — not as a threat to their security or national identity, but as an economic asset. In its official policy, Canada called immigrants "a vital force in building and sustaining a stronger nation. Canada welcomes them."

Even those in the country illegally were rarely deported. As the director of Canada's intelligence agency put it: "Once someone sets foot in Canada, then it is very hard and takes a very long time to get them out."

Ressam's fellow immigrants schooled him in the ways of their new host. It was easy to beat the system. [. . . . ]

This is an excerpt from one of seventeen chapters.

I want those *&%&$%#!& people responsible to explain themselves, to be turfed--to lose positions and power -- those in government, the IRB, the courts, the enablers, the whole *&^% system which has allowed our country to sink to allowing in this and more like him.

We had a reasonably decent safe country until our government turned it into a haven for the world's worst -- and they called it

* wonderful!
* diversity!
* multiculturalism!

We were not to question it and they trolled for votes while fostering divisions and promoted keeping ethnic ties to homelands, meanwhile not considering the rest of Canadians!

They have tried to intimidate us so we dare not say anything against what they have done -- or they would term it a hate crime. Well, I dare. The last few governments have been ethically bankrupt and increasingly corrupt. They have ruined our country so they could run it forever.

They have created division from one end of Canada to the other, between the West and the East, among linguistic, ethnic and cultural groups -- utilizing the judiciary, the courts, the CRTC, the mainstream media, "initiatives" and that whole range of methods by which they rob the rest to reward their friends, cronies, certain companies, and one area of Canada over another. The power of the PM / PMO is exorbitant. They have stolen democracy from us.

Think of all the testimony before Justice Gomery. Think of one key line in Myriam Bedard's testimony. Think of the links our former PM, JC, developed in Russia and China and the repercussions. Think of PM's business, the connections and the government's utter disregard for veracity while blustering about priorities / initiatives / fixing the democratic deficit -- all in a craven quest to remain in power.

Think how this government and its predecessors have suckered so many for so many years. Think of what they waste, hide, probably siphon off, through foundations, crown corporations, and the like while throwing Canadians' hard-earned money at authoritarian, undemocratic, thugocracies abroad--China, Africa, the Palestinians, etc. while their own citizens do without (adequate security services and equipment, health care, factories and mills closing, among other things) -- but there is always taxpayers' money for their own.

They talk of change for the better, of fixing the democratic deficit, for example, of how much money they are allotting for security but they cannot be believed; they throw so many figures around all to hide the truth. We are worse off than we were years ago. They have made our lives insecure. They talk of honour and have none; they are despicable.

Think about what these . . . . . evil people have enabled to enter this country and think of what we are facing -- all so these &*^%$ people could stay in power and feather their own nests.

If I knew I had a week to live . . . . well, fill in your favourite fantasy scenario. One day Canadians will wake up and then . . . . .

U.S. authorities to seal off drug tunnel Camille Bains, July 25, 05

[. . . . ] Conservative MP Mark Warawa, who toured the Langley property where the elaborate tunnel began, said the Canadian government needs to follow the U.S. example and increase the number of RCMP officers between border points.

[. . . . ] Some of the 160 border crossings have only one officer on patrol . . .

. . . unlike in the U.S., where borders are patrolled, the RCMP does no such job.
However, after 9-11, Ottawa funded 24 Mounties across Canada to work in the Integrated Border Enforcement Teams that exchange information with U.S. officials, Ard said.

"They are working as a team except we're not in the same office," he said.
"Because of limited resources the approach we're taking is targeting areas of the border that we think are being exploited because of whatever intelligence we have or we're targeting organized crime groups."

Police bust Northern Ontario grow-op -- Ji Zhu Chu, 39, was arrested July 25, 05

IROQUOIS FALLS, Ont. (CP) - Police in northern Ontario have charged a Toronto man after they found marijuana fields stretching "three football fields in length" in what is considered to be one of Canada's largest pot busts.
Investigators found more than 21,000 marijuana plants behind a home nestled in the woods of Iroquois Falls, east of Timmins. [. . . . ]

Publicists for Jihad David Frum, American Enterprise Institute, July 26, 05

[. . . . ] There is an ancient conservative joke: A liberal is someone who won't take his own side in an argument. We are now engaged not in an argument, but a war--a war with terrible dangers and a long and lengthening toll of casualties. It cannot be won by people who do not believe in their own cause. There is much obviously that must change in the Islamic world. But there is something also that must change in our own. We must rediscover the reasons we are proud to be ourselves.
