Updated: Our Freedom alert! Maurice Strong, Internet, Democracy Watch

There is another update below.

Editorial: Stephen Harper for prime minister -- National Post endorsement

The Global Governance Gang and the Internet

Yesterday the pond, today a takeover of the Internet -- "Google alert: below-the-radar Canadian billionaire Maurice Strong ... " By Judi McLeod, Wednesday, January 18, 2006

Search: Jane Goodall, Paul Hawken, Maurice Strong and other social leaders and scientists worldwide

Oh, God! Spare us the do-gooders!

We need a Conservative government to give us accountability and transparency and put decision making back in Parliament, not in the PM/PMO's hands.

Democracy Watch: FEDERAL CONSERVATIVE PARTY HAS BEST GOVERNMENT ACCOUNTABILITY PLATFORM -- NDP, GREENS, BLOC TIED NOT FAR BEHIND, LIBERAL GRADES MUCH WORSE -- ALL PLATFORMS STILL HAVE KEY GAPS -- LACK OF HONESTY-IN-POLITICS LAW MEANS NONE OF THE PARTIES' PLEDGES SHOULD BE TRUSTED

The Liberals had the worst results, with an overall F grade, and the worst grades in all five areas;

The strongest overall area grades for all the parties were in the "Open Government" area, with the Conservatives the best with a B+ grade; [....]

All of the parties except the Liberals promise action to strengthen ethics enforcement, lobbying disclosure and enforcement, auditing resources and enforcement, and election reforms, and;

All of the parties except the Liberals promise to increase Parliament's role in reviewing appointments currently made solely by the Prime Minister, and ensuring merit-based nomination and appointment processes.

Excellence vs Big Brother's Control & Shared Mediocrity!

No contest in Canada -- we get Big Bro PM & Team, CBC and the rest of mainstream media hangers on--with a few exceptions, Global Governance & Maurice Strong along with the rest of the UNESCO cabal.

The blogosphere is a hard-core and pure meritocracy. It doesn’t matter who you are or what your pedigree is. You either produce persuasive arguments and do so with credibility, or you don’t.

This is one of the saddest stories of just how far an oppressive, all-powerful government will go--another must read article.

Star of Chinese eugenics -- bred for height

Chinese long-range planning -- they will be very serious about the Olympics.

Is this what sport has become?

And would you like the central planners to have more control over you? Don't miss the post on the internet and the global governance gang's attempts to control what you read, see, hear and more. Oh, it will be touted as safe for your children, promoting cultural diversity, and more. Look into Judi McLeod's article on the internet and the plans ... ah, yes, the plans ... just a little bit more and you will be controlled and guilt-ridden forever.

Update:

Globalization Passing Fad or Permanent Revolution?

This article from: Interventionism, Vol. 26 (1) - Spring 2004 [ http://hir.harvard.edu/symposia/60/ ] is in the Harvard International Review.

Moisés Naím is Editor and Publisher of Foreign Policy. This piece is adapted from his collection of articles, The Surprises of Globalization.

[. . . . ] The tide of democracy that swept the world in the 1990s, the emergence of unbridled media, the proliferation of nongovernmental organizations with enormous financial and political resources, and the growth of international criminal and terrorist networks—all have helped erode the autonomy of governments. But the nation-state is not about to disappear. Indeed, governments continue to be central players. Also, the vast majority of people in the global community are yet to be empowered by the technological and political changes of the 1990s. Instead, they continue to live imprisoned by poverty, hunger, illness, and ignorance. [. . . . ]

With the PM & Team government/Big Brother's contribution to control and the Global Governance Gang and the internet (You know, achieving the maintenance of cultural diversity), where will this leave those living under oppressive regimes in, for example, Myanmar / Burma or China where certain words are not allowed to pass through the ether to Chinese citizens. Then there is Africa ... and what do you think the do-gooder gang with their control over the internet--for all those fine, politically correct reasons that will be enumerated--and their fine meetings will achieve? Someone will get the benefit of knowledge, of what freedom has allowed them to learn, and they will be in a position to exploit. Who will get the benefit of those minerals and oil and anything else? I'm betting it won't be the poor.

Watch for the language that will be used -- rather like the Communist world's use of free and People's Republic -- where the words actually mean strict control by a centralized government.
