Let me be Perfectly Clear -- About Liberal Hegemony

From a man in the street interview:

How are you going to vote?

Of course, I'm voting Conservative. Paul Martin must agree they're the best because, every time a Conservative crosses the floor, he makes him or her a Cabinet Minister.

Martin makes things perfectly clear

Let me paraphrase the words of that great statesman, Huey Long, the former Governor of Louisiana, who said at a stump speech, "People accuse me of stealing millions of your dollars. Well, that might be true. However, for every million I steal, I spend twenty million on you." I would amend that in Canada to, "For every 20 billion I steal, I promise to spend a billion on you."

Justice Minister, Irwin Cotler has graciously stepped down so Chuck Cadman may become Justice Minister. It is that flexibility that Canadians have come to admire.

I stand on my principles. If you don't like those, I have others. [thanks to Zorba -- on being asked his name]

The government gave my steamship company $161 million. . . even though it pays few, if any, Canadian taxes. That is the generosity that we Liberals stand for.

The poll that showed 63% think I'm a liar? -- All Conservative rednecks.

There is no contradiction in Belinda becoming the Minister for Democratic Renewal and sucker-punching her constituents and former teammates.

Whoever coined the phrase "Politics is a dirty business" obviously didn't know the Liberal Party.

The rumours that Magna Corp and the Demarais' Power Corp. have merged are entirely false.

Welcome to the brave bew world of Liberal hegemony

Just think of Robert Mugabe, proclaiming that Zimbabwe under his reign has been a success story. However, now he has admtted that it is a basket case. This was the essence of Martin's victory claim. There was no mention of the on-going Gomery Inquiry which showed corruption at every level of his party.
