Dear Mr. Chuck Cadman

I cannot begin to express my disappointment at your vote. However, I respect your decision to go with what your constituents' desire. That sentiment in such a corrupted political scene is refreshing. No matter what the majority of the voters who elected thir MPs think, the average MP will over-rule those feelings to support what the PMO decides is their policy. They are whipped into shape without a whimper.

Perhaps you have even done the Conservative Party a favour, as Paul Martin is a one-man Johnny Appleseed of pork and slush. Now, of course, PM has months more to bribe every large voter bloc with their own tax money. Even as I write this I am listening to Martin's boost that he has saved Canada with his largesse. But every claim has the bloated excesses of the Gun Registry written all over it.

I was listening to a phone-in to CFRB Toronto and one chap said, "There must be something wrong with we Canadians. The slimier the Liberals are seen to be, the more we admire them." The Gomery Inquiry rolls on and this week pointed out how two lobbyists, Dingwall and Guite, helped Vickers and Benson gain $45 million in contracts. Neither man was even legally allowed to be a lobbyist; yet through them, the government gave V & B $4.5 million in sponsorship grants for videos that would only be shown in China. Every day presents new, absurd frauds which the Liberals have condoned. And this is only the tip of the iceberg.

How did the gun registry balloon from $3 million to over $1-billion? Well, Groupaction had some of the contracts. What was the real corruption in the HRDC boondoggle? The Auditor-General has shown that 479 different contracts of that fiasco are suspect. Chretien claimed that ony $6,500 went missing. However nobody ever even checked this obvious corruption target. I won't go on with the unbroken slime that dates back to Chretien's entrance--while Martin was the Finance Minister, as I'm sure you are familiar with much of this chicanery.

Those who have worked extensively in the Third World--who watched the kleptocracy that operated there unchecked--have regaled others with how things work. They have experienced what is Canada's future. I envision such a world for Canada, unless this Liberal government is stopped. The buying of the political neophyte Belinda Stronach with a Cabinet position is just the beginning. After all, if they (the *** & *** who remain nameless . . . for now) can get away with buying off whole provinces (Quebec, forever) then buying individuals is easy. Despite the "I-don't-want-an-election-now" crowd, you must search your soul for how long such fraud, blatant cronyism, and vote buying can be allowed to continue.

I'm not a die-hard Conservative. I actually voted for Trudeau -- once. One final thing I want to mention. Like you, I am disgusted with the lenient sentences handed out to juvenile criminals--some of whom are total psychopaths. Recently, in NB, there was a 14 year old kid who burned down a Home Hardware store leaving $1-million plus damage and 34 workers unemployed. He also tried to burn down a Canadian Tire store, When sentenced to one year house arrest, he showed zero regret for his actions. And why do we have such absurd sentencing? Because the federal Liberals caved in to the Quebec mode of juvenile justice . . . "rehabiliation".
