One Cool Remove Away

It seems that Pierre Pettigrew has mis-spoken himself, or in current pol speak he wants to "clarify his former statement" about medicare. While he twice stated that he basically approved of private health care, it seems he was tragically misunderstood. What he really meant to say was that he firmly stands by the public in the government supported public health care system. It was the devious opposition that had twisted his words. Doesn't this remind you of Chretien's statement that "I'll crush that detestable GST tax." I'm sure that a private flogging will occur when Martin gets back from assuring that Canada is on the same page as the Americans on security. Of course, our new security bill will have a section that makes sure that the main group of potential terrorists, the Muslim population, will have ample room to bitch about any provision that would target the potential perpetrators. How Canadian. One day we will wake up with a horrible thud. But then, of course, the government will claim, "Who knew?"
