We do not need an election now. We do not need an election a month after the Gomery Commission Report has been submitted.

We need the minority government elected less than a year ago to do the work it was elected to do.

The MPs of all parties to need to serve Canadians and put partisan interest aside.

Responsibility for the present shameful conduct in the House lies with Mr. Harper's party and the members of his caucus who previously called themselves Reform. We know that in the West and we will hold them accountable in due course, but for now their responsibility is to allow the minority government to do the work it was elected to do.

David Kilgour, who switched from Tory to Liberal, and now to Independent supporting the Tories, says one reason he may vote against the Liberal budget is because he is offended by Stronach switching parties. Give us a break.
